Last updated: 19 October 2026
1. Introduction
Ferret Tools Limited ("Ferret Tools", "we", "our" or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect information when you visit or purchase from ferrettools.com, use our Ferret Tools mobile applications (including Ferret Thermal), use the Ferret Thermal Viewer web application, register products, contact customer support or otherwise interact with us.

3. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Process orders, payments, deliveries, returns and warranties.
- Create and manage customer accounts.
- Operate our mobile applications and Thermal Viewer.
- Synchronize, store, display, analyze and manage thermal images.
- Generate inspection reports and support requested sharing.
- Provide technical support and customer service.

Where required by law, we rely on an appropriate legal basis, including contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations or consent.
4. Ferret Thermal Mobile App
The Ferret Thermal mobile application allows users to capture, view and save thermal images.
Images saved locally on your device remain on that device unless you choose to upload, synchronize or share them.
When cloud synchronization is enabled, images and associated metadata are uploaded to our cloud services, allowing you to access them through Ferret Thermal Viewer.
Disabling synchronization does not automatically remove images previously uploaded to the cloud.
We do not sell customers' private inspection images or use them for advertising.
5. Ferret Thermal Viewer
Ferret Thermal Viewer provides online tools for viewing, analyzing, managing and reporting on thermal images.
Uploaded images and associated inspection information are stored securely using our cloud service providers.
Customer images are accessible only to the relevant account and authorized users, except where the customer chooses to share them or disclosure is legally required.
We do not publish private customer inspection images or use them to train third-party artificial intelligence models without appropriate authorization.
6. Cloud Storage, Security and Backups
We use reputable service providers to operate our websites, applications and cloud infrastructure. These may include:
- Shopify: Ecommerce, customer accounts and order processing.
- Supabase: Application databases, authentication and cloud file storage.
- Cloudflare: Website security, content delivery and, where implemented, independent backups.
- Other providers: Payments, hosting, communications, analytics and technical services.
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information and customer files against unauthorized access, loss, alteration and misuse.
Where independent backups are enabled, copies of customer files may be stored separately from our primary cloud infrastructure for recovery purposes.
No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security or uninterrupted availability.
7. Image Retention, Deletion and Recovery
Images uploaded to Thermal Viewer are generally retained while they remain in your account, subject to applicable storage limits and retention policies.
You may delete images using the available application features.
Where backup recovery functionality is enabled, deleted images may remain in secure backups for up to 30 days before permanent removal. Optional extended storage or recovery periods may be available through paid services.
After the applicable retention period, deleted files are scheduled for permanent removal unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.
Deleting an image from cloud storage does not necessarily remove copies previously downloaded or shared.
You may request account deletion and deletion of associated personal information, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
8. Online Store, Payments and Delivery
Our online store is powered by Shopify.
When you place an order, information necessary to complete the transaction may be shared with payment processors, delivery companies, fulfillment partners and other service providers.
Shopify processes information to operate our store, support transactions, provide security and deliver related services. Depending on enabled features, Shopify may also process information for analytics and personalized shopping experiences.
For more information about Shopify's privacy practices, visit privacy.shopify.com.
We retain transaction records as necessary for fulfillment, warranties, accounting, tax compliance and other lawful purposes.
9. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for essential website functionality, shopping carts, checkout, security, analytics, preferences and advertising.
We may use services including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta advertising technologies and Shopify analytics.
Depending on your location, we may request consent before using non-essential cookies or tracking technologies.
You can manage available cookie preferences through our website privacy controls and browser settings.
Where applicable, you may opt out of certain advertising-related data sharing through our website privacy choices.
10. Marketing Communications
We may send product information, offers, newsletters and service updates where permitted by law.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in our messages or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing does not prevent essential transactional, security or account-related communications.
